Zoe would love to have a cat, but fears the commitment.

Zoe grew up in a dysfunctional family in a trailer park in New Jersey, USA, surrounded by addiction, untreated mental illness, and cycles of abuse. From a young age, she experienced visions of a mysterious figure she called “the Commander,” who seemed to communicate with her, especially when she entered trancelike states. In these altered states, she discovered an uncanny ability to save the lives of those on the edge of death, though she never fully understood how or why.

When her neighbor, a gentle soul with a wild streak, died in a motorcycle accident, Zoe inherited his bikes and guitar. With these, she seized her first opportunity to escape, leaving her toxic home behind. She rode across America to Los Angeles, determined to start fresh.

In LA, she found herself mingling with rock bands and artists, exploring the raw, creative energy of the city. Yet, despite the freedom of that world, she soon realized she needed a deeper purpose. She became determined to fight injustice, no matter the cost or who was suffering. Taking a bold step, she forged the necessary documents to get into law school, eventually passing the bar with stellar results. But the legal system quickly disappointed her as she came to see that justice often favored those with money.

She later fell in love with a man from New York, which led her into a violent, abusive relationship. Her boyfriend was a heroin addict, and Zoe clung to the hope that her love could lead him to sobriety. But as the relationship spiraled, he nearly killed her, and she had no choice but to flee again.

Seeking solace, she began taking motorcycle trips through France, starting in Paris and falling in love with the south of France. These trips became a regular escape, a reminder of beauty and peace, places untouched by the pain of her past.

During one of these trips, she witnessed a severe car accident in southern France. As she comforted the critically injured couple, her unique gift seemed to manifest once more, helping them cling to life. This incident led to an unexpected offer to join a scientific project in New Mexico.

Still searching for a fresh start—and needing to stay hidden from her ex—Zoe accepted the offer. She didn’t yet know what she’d find in New Mexico, but it felt like a place where she could begin to understand her gifts and her purpose anew.
